Swensen's now in Manila... Finally! :)

Swensen's has landed the shores of Manila. We went to Mall of Asia just to check it out. Yes! ♥ I've been really looking forward to this day. Gone are the days that you have be in Singapore just to have a bite of their heavenly desserts :) It was 3 years in the making, and finally the owners of The Old Spaghetti House were able to bring the franchise here in the Philippines.

Menu: Scoop and Toppings

What to choose, what to choose? The menu has these huge photos of mouthwatering desserts which were really photogenic that it took me quite a while what to order.

Menu: Cable Parfait, Beautiful Sundae, and Chocolate Fantasy

I opt from the chocolate fantasy selection. Since I love malteesers, I ordered frosted choc fantasy. It has 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips, chocolate syrup, malteesers, and a cherry on top dipped in chocolate. And wow, it was really yummy. The ice cream was creamy, and the chocolate syrup is just right. I loved the chocolate chips too. It gives texture and crunch along with the malteesers. It was so good that every spoonful, I would always say, "ang sarap" (pause), "ang sarap"! LOL

Bf ordered Nutty Crispy Tower. It was also good. But the mine was better. Maybe because I love chocolates ♥ When I come back, I would definitely pick another from the Chocolate Fantasy selection again :)

Nutty Crispy Tower

They'll be opening a branch in Eastwood soon. Great, because MOA is too far. Hehe. Oh! btw, too bad they only got the franchise of the desserts. I'm hoping in the next branches that will open they'll serve burger and steaks as well just like in SG's. :)

That homey feel and seriously good desserts

Mom and Tina's Bakery Cafe has a comfy feel to it. It was homey in an old old American country style way. I loved the furniture, the interiors in colors of blue and white.  We checked out their new branch in a new building with other restaurants like Bon Chon, Brothers Burger, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and even a Fully Booked store along Katipunan just to try out the desserts. I'm glad we did :)

Baked Oreo Cheesecake and Sans Rival

The Baked Oreo Cheesecake was super yummy. Whipped cream, cheesecake, and Oreo layers. I especially loved the cheesecake part :)

Sans Rival was also good. Just bit too sweet for my liking.

One word to describe the Dark Tobelore Walnut Torte: Heavenly! I'd say you can never go wrong on a dessert with layers of nuts and graham. Graham, chewy walnut torte, dark toblerone chunks, and dark choco creme to top it all. Super yum :)

Just look at those layers ♥ Hmm

Ristra's!

An overwhelmingly huge serving of delicious and fresh ingredients wrapped in a tortilla that's more than a foot in diameter. Sometimes, I can't even finish half of it! Main ingredients are rice (choice of cilantro and chorizo brown rice) and meat (chicken, steak, vegetarian, barbacoa, and carnitas). Also filled with corn, salsa, avocado, etc. Best term to describe: siksik. A must try!! And for sure like me, you will almost always crave for this. :D

Just look at the all the meat stuffed in it!
